Confidentiality
Our sessions are confidential, this means that I will not share information about you with someone else without your consent but there are also limitations to this where safety is concerned.
As a therapist, I am legally required to disclose information when there is a risk of harm to self or others, drug trafficking, money laundering, or acts of terrorism. Where possible, I will always seek your consent before any disclosure.
I regularly attend clinical supervision (a supportive, confidential consultation for therapists) with another experienced therapist to discuss my work. The purpose of supervision is to maintain the safety of therapists and clients as well as ensure that therapists are working ethically and to the best of their ability; no identifying features are disclosed about clients during these consultations.
I may write notes during or after our sessions, these are anonymised and stored securely.
If you have any questions or concerns then please feel free to contact me and I’ll be happy to discuss this further.
